Believe in Yourself

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be.
That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down.

But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.

5 must-do exercises for strong, toned arms

THE INCHWORM: An exercise that strengthens arms, shoulders, chest and core - the ultimate multi-tasker.

It's really easy to get stuck into performing the same, stock standard moves for your arms. A few that come to mind: bicep curls, tricep dips and push ups.

Women are generally concerned about growing "bulky" when it comes to training their arms and this holds them back from stepping in to the weight room but it couldn't be further from the truth.

The Hedgehogs

It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died because of the cold.

The hedgehogs, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions.

After awhile, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen. So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth.

The Magical Mustard Seed

There is an old Chinese tale about a woman whose only son died. In her grief, she went to the holy man and asked, "What prayers, what magical incantations do you have to bring my son back to life?"

Instead of sending her away or reasoning with her, he said to her, "Fetch me a mustard seed from a home that has never known sorrow. We will use it to drive the sorrow out of your life." The woman went off at once in search of that magical mustard seed.

How to Speak Your Spouse’s Love Language (and What to Avoid)

Love… It’s a word everyone uses and a concept sought by all. In marriage we make a covenant commitment to love each other whole-heartedly through our actions. We profess it, we show it, we receive it, and we feel it – at least that’s the hope. Love is not something you can check off a list, it’s a way of living, thinking, and doing.
Love is a particularly tricky word in modern english (ex. there are 4 distinct words for love in Greek). I’d argue that it’s come to mean very little in itself. We use the same word to express our affection for casual things like our favorite flavor of ice-cream; but we also use it to signify our lifelong devotion to our spouse.
I love chocolate ice cream.
I love my wife.
I love Jesus.

Cute Love Notes Between Husband And Wife Clearly Spice Up This Marriage

Love notes can go a long way in trying to keep things spicy in a marriage and this husband and wife, clearly now how to play the game. Anyone who has been married for a long period of time would agree that life gets in the way of keeping romance alive, but there are things you can do to keep it fun.

It’s no secret that having a happy marriage is hard work. Work, kids, and friends get in the way and the easy thing to do is say we don’t have the time to do little things for our husband or wife anymore. But it doesn’t have to be like that.
You can still have fun with your spouse and love notes left randomly around the house is one great way to keep things interesting. This husband and wife are the perfect example.

How to Manage Back Spasms During Pregnancy

Are back spasms during pregnancy dangerous?

Pregnancy can be an exciting time for expectant mothers, but just as bringing a child into the world opens a lot of new doors, pregnancy can bring about new, sometimes uncomfortable sensations to a mother-to-be. One of the most common complaints during pregnancy is back pain and, specifically, back spasms.

"Pregnancy is like the perfect storm for lower back pains and spasms," explains Dr. Steve Behram, an OB/GYN based in Rockville, Maryland. "Generally speaking, pregnancy can also make women more vulnerable to generalized muscular spasms anywhere, including the back."

11 Healthy Life Lessons from Joan Rivers

Love her or hate her, Joan Rivers has been nothing but utterly herself since she launched into show biz in the ’60s. The comedienne who cracked us up for all those years on the red carpet passed away on September 4, 2014 at the age of 81. Perhaps even more notable than her catty sense of humor or preference for plastic surgery was her admirable ability to laugh at herself. We’ve hand-picked our favorite health-based Joan quotes to commemorate the Queen of Mean and remind you that laughter goes a long way in maintaining a healthy life.

Family-time May Help Kids Cope With Bullying

Researchers find regular family dinners seem to help kids cope with online bullying.

Like victims of face-to-face bullying, kids who experience internet bullying are vulnerable to mental health and substance use problems. But spending more time communicating with their parents may help protect them from these harmful consequences, a new study suggests.

For example, researchers found that regular family dinners seemed to help kids cope with online bullying. But they say talk time with parents in cars or other settings can also help protect against the effects thereof.

Keep Your Phone Data Secure With This New Smartphone Charging Cable

Learn about a smartphone charging cable intended to back up your smartphone data privately and securely.

Even amidst a busy Labor Day weekend of travel and barbecues many of us heard about the recent leaked celebrity photo scandal. My colleague Jordan Golson covered it earlier this week and, though details are still vague, he stated that it appeared a possible iCloud vulnerability allowed hackers to use numerous passwords to obtain illegal access to the cloud storage accounts of various actresses (which were obviously not well protected with complex passwords). What happened next is not a happy ending for the celebrities involved.

First IT Jobs Went Offshore, Now They're Being Automated

The US and European IT roles that were pushed to offshore service providers will increasingly be automated, as the outsourcing giants look to preserve their margins.

By 2016 almost 1.1 million IT jobs are expected to have been sent offshore by major US and European companies.
The drive to send jobs abroad has, in part, been fuelled by low labour costs relative to western countries, with recent entry-level salaries for engineers in India falling between $4,200 and $5,900.

Google 'discourages' Users Of Old Browsers

The change forced many to use an old version of the Google homepage
Google has started showing old versions of its search page to people using out-of-date versions of some web browsers.

At the weekend, many people reported in a Google forum they were seeing 2013 versions of the Google and image search homepages when using older browsers.

The problem was most pronounced among those using variants of Safari 5.1 and Opera 12.
A Google message posted to the forum said the change was made to "encourage" people to upgrade their browser.
